Hey, some roster news during the deadest period of the offseason!
The Seattle Seahawks are signing Cam Sutton, but not the cornerback from the Pittsburgh Steelers... I mean that’d be impossible since he just signed a new contract. Instead, this Cam Sutton is a tight end out of Fresno State.
The #Seahawks are signing TE Cam Sutton, per his agent @SamLeaf. The 6-foot-6 Fresno State product was in camp with Carolina last year.

Sutton’s college stats are rather sparse. He totaled just 9 catches for 154 yards, as well as 2 rushes for 34 yards and no touchdowns. There’s really not a whole lot to discuss when he started in junior college before transferring to Fresno State as a junior. Sutton signed with the Carolina Panthers as a UDFA last year but was waived during camp.
It’s worth noting that the Seahawks are at the maximum 90-man roster limit already after they signed Tre Brown last week, so a corresponding move will have to be made. At the moment, Seattle’s tight end room consists of Gerald Everett, Will Dissly, Colby Parkinson, Tyler Mabry, Nick Guggemos, and now Sutton is added to the mix.
