Hey, more roster news! Okay it’s more minor roster news but it’s news we must post just to keep you informed as is our duty!

Earlier this week it was reported that the Seahawks were signing former Fresno State tight end Cam Sutton, but the team was already at the camp roster limit of 90 players, so a move had to be made in order to get Sutton on the team.

Well folks, we have our answer!

Defensive end Marcus Webb was waived with an injury designation, although his injury was not disclosed. Webb signed as a UDFA out of Troy last year before waiving him in August. He was brought back this season and participated in minicamp. He is not related to former Seahawks offensive lineman J’Marcus Webb, whose brief presence on the roster still brings back absolutely horrible memories.

Sutton played in junior college before transferring to Fresno State, where he caught 9 passes for 154 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Seattle currently has six tight ends on the roster, with Gerald Everett expected to be TE1 on the depth chart.
