This is the time of the football offseason that we tend to hear about all different kinds of lists and rankings. In that spirit, this latest podcast focuses on the top three players at three different position groups on defense within the NFC West.
Before getting into the main topic for the show, we discuss the biggest news of the week with the extension of punter Michael Dickson and whether or not his new deal could make him the top paid punter in the NFL.
Stick around after that to hear how Poona Ford stacked up against Aaron Donald and Sebastian Joseph Day on the interior of the defensive line. Carlos Dunlap is ranked against the division’s top pass rushers Chandler Jones, Nick Bosa, J.J. Watt and Leonard Floyd. Plus, we discuss whether San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner is at or near the point of surpassing Bobby Wagner as the top linebacker in the division.
To close out the show, Field Gulls commenter 3Philngood comes in with some ‘Pain Games’ to talk about some difficult hypothetical choices for us to decide between.
We’ll discuss secondary and some of the positions on offense that we missed on a future episode. You can be a part of the next 3 IN, 3 OUT by joining the Locker Room community.
