The Julio Jones saga came to an end Sunday, with the Tennessee Titans the winner. The Titans are acquiring the All Pro receiver from the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a 2022 second round pick and a 2023 pick swap that will see the Titans send their fourth pick to Atlanta and receive back the Falcons’ sixth round pick.
Analysts and fans across the league have already had a lot to say about the trade, with many claiming that the Titans fleeced Atlanta. (Editor’s note: The analysts who say this are correct.)
Fans of the Seattle Seahawks have complained that the trade would have been possible for for the team, and that Pete Carroll and John Schneider could (and should) have offered more than what Tennessee paid.
A second and a 5th for Julio Jones..

25+ NFL fan bases should be questioning everything their front office is doing https://t.co/unO6S2DBGv
If the Titans do get Julio Jones, they would be one of the top 3 most dangerous offenses in the #NFL because of their balance.

Keep 2 safeties high- Derrick Henry will rush for 150 a game.
Bring a safety down or play flat footed- Julio Jones/ AJ Brown will have 150 a game.

I said weeks ago the Titans were a wide receiver away from a Super Bowl. Julio Jones makes the #Titans legit Super Bowl contenders! https://t.co/hB2ufyi5w1

Well at least Seattle gets to keep the 24th pick in the 2023 draft https://t.co/XzINQWcnq9

And that's one of my issues.

They'll borrow $10.75M of future cap space for 3 over-30 d-linemen, a possible starter at corner, a potential breakout TE and a center.
But they draw the line at borrowing future cap space for a future Hall of Fame WR? https://t.co/jc8YW5uGh5
All of Twitter made the same "lol Seahawks shouldn't trade for Julio if they'll just run the ball 500 times" joke and now Julio is going to the literal most run-heavy team in the NFL.

If the #Falcons wanted to keep #JulioJones, they could have supported him with a few Top-10 defenses over the past—pretty much entirety of his NFL career.

They didn’t. He’s gone.
Julio deserved better.#MattRyan deserves better.
Another “we’ll see this year” season coming up.

Titans' blueprint: Build elite offense with mediocre defense. They have NFL's best offense (EPA/play) since Ryan Tannehill became the starter.

So, basically, Julio won’t get to line up on the same field as DK Metcalf, but he will get to play alongside DK’s college teammate at Ole Miss, A.J. Brown.
