Many fans of the Seattle Seahawks have spent a good portion of the offseason longing for the team to acquire a proven starter at outside cornerback. Whether that proven starter came in the form of signing former Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers free agent cornerback Richard Sherman or trading for Stephon Gilmore of the New England Patriots, there was no shortage of fans looking for an upgrade.
Reports as of Wednesday morning, however, appear likely to have made one of those options unlikely.

This is obviously a developing story, but as Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest notes in his tweet, the King County Correctional Facility - Seattle online information system shows Sherman as having been booked for “Burglary Domestic Violence” and whatever incident led to the arrest is being investigated as a felony.
Keep checking in with Field Gulls, as we’ll work to keep readers updated on this situation and other Seahawks news with just two weeks until training camp.
UPDATE:
For those wondering about the severity of the case because of the “bail denied” detail, Brady Henderson of ESPN had this tidbit on that piece.
A brief legal sidenote: King County records indicate "bail denied." I spoke with a defense attorney (unconnected to this case) who explained that bail is always denied until a suspect appears before a judge. Sherman was booked at 6:08 a.m. https://t.co/ThFB5OCRAM
