It looks like the Seahawks might not ever have to face the Chandler Jones/J.J. Watt pass-rushing combination after all.
30 year-old outside linebacker Chandler Jones, who has been with the Cardinals since 2016, has requested a trade out of Arizona according to numerous reports Sunday morning.
All-Pro pass rusher Chandler Jones requested a trade from the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, per sources. Jones has been unhappy with his contract and future with the team. Cardinals don’t want to trade him and expect him to report to camp. But certainly a situation to watch.

As Fowler notes, Jones is expected to report to camp, but this has not stopped speculation over potential destinations for Jones. Some see Baltimore as a good fit for Jones, while others wonder if the Cardinals might swing a deal for a defensive back like Stephon Gilmore or Xavien Howard, both of whom are rumored to be on the trading block.
Jones has one more year on his contract, meaning his time tormenting Seattle offensive linemen may be coming to an end soon regardless of whether or not he is traded, but Seahawks fans would be glad to see him leave sooner rather than later. In his last appearance against Seattle in 2019, Jones had four sacks. He missed much of 2020 after suffering a torn bicep.
