ESPN posts Seahawks 53 man roster predictions and projections

NFL: NFC Wild Card Round-Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The various NFL reporters that make up ESPN’s NFL Nation have posted their 53 man roster predictions, and ESPN’s Mike Clay has taken them and made projections for each team’s 2021 season.

This of course includes the Seattle Seahawks. For the most part, the ESPN predictions for the roster match up with Field Gulls’ John P. Gilbert’s predictions. However, they do not include offensive line, fullback, and long snapper, and list out 44 players. This means that there would only be 7 offensive linemen on the roster, which is not going to happen. The differences between John and ESPN are that ESPN’s includes RB Alex Collins, DT Robert Nkemdiche, DE Aldon Smith, and CB Damarious Randall, while not including WR John Ursua or LB Nate Evans.

As for the projections, Clay has Russell Wilson throwing for 4,091 yards, 31 TD’s, 11 INT’s, and ranking 8th in PPR fantasy leagues for QB’s. He has Chris Carson rushing for over 1,000 yards with 8 TD’s and has Tyler Lockett also just creeping over 1k in receiving with 7 TD’s.

Clay projects DK Metcalf to have a monster 1,293 receiving yards season along with 10 TD’s, putting him at 6th for WR’s for PPR fantasy leagues. On defense, it's sacks by committee again, as no one other than Carlos Dunlap (6.3) has over 5.

Clay also projects the Seahawks for 9.6 wins, which is 9th best in the league, and 11 games with a 50% win probability or higher.
