The Seattle Seahawks currently have four quarterbacks on the roster. Russell Wilson is, of course, the unquestioned starter. However, behind him are Geno Smith, Danny Etling and Alex McGough, however according to reports Saturday evening, the Hawks are set to add a new quarterback who may be more familiar with the new offense.
The Seahawks are soon expected to sign QB Sean Mannion, I'm told. No word on corresponding roster move. Seahawks have 3 backup QBs on roster right now: Geno Smith, Danny Etling and Alex McGough.

Sean Mannion spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings backing up Kirk Cousins, however prior to that he was with the Los Angeles Rams. In Los Angeles he was, of course, with Shane Waldron running the offensive system of Sean McVay, so should come in with better familiarity with the system than the other quarterbacks currently on the roster.
As Mike Dugar of The Athletic reports, there is no report on the corresponding roster move that will be required in order to make space on the roster for Mannion. Keep checking back with Field Gulls for updates on the details of that transaction.
