Seahawks DK Metcalf limited in Friday practice but all good for Sunday

NFL: NFC Wild Card Round-Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Less than 48 hours until the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis Colts face off to open the 2021 regular season for both teams. For Seahawks fans it will be their first look at the new offense of Shane Waldron as deployed with the first string playmakers, which has fans excited.

What also should have fans excited is the fact that as the Hawks get set to enter Week 1, they’ve got absolutely no one on the roster who is listed with a designation of Out, Doubtful or even Questionable. And, for those who complained about having to watch the backups play during the preseason, is why the team sat the majority of the starters during the entire month of August.

Obviously not great to see wide receiver DK Metcalf as limited by a calf strain, but it appears as though that is more likely just a precaution. What will be interesting to see is how the running back position plays out Sunday, as all five players at the position are healthy and set to go against the Colts, but with no injuries needing to be covered elsewhere on the roster it is likely that one of the five backs will be a healthy scratch. Whether that will be Alex Collins, Rashaad Penny or DeeJay Dallas likely won’t be known until Sunday, but it will be something to watch for in the build up to the game.
