The Seahawks finalized three signings Wednesday, claiming C Dakoda Shepley and CB Nigel Warrior off of waivers, and acquiring CB Sidney Jones in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The three new Seahawks have already chosen their jersey numbers.
The single-digit revolution continues, CB D.J. Reed has switched to No. 9. New #Seahawks numbers: CB Sidney Jones 23, CB Nigel Warrior 39 and C Dakoda Shepley 64.

Shepley, who was cut from the 49ers on Tuesday, will take #64, a number most notably worn by former Seahawks guard J.R. Sweezy. Shepley wore #61 during his time in San Francisco.
Warrior, meanwhile, was cut by the Ravens, and he will wear #39, a number most famously worn by Legion of Boom founder Brandon Browner. Warrior keeps the number he wore in Baltimore.
Sidney Jones will not be wearing the #26 that University of Washington fans will know well, instead picking up #23, the former jersey number of Marcus Trufant. Jones wore #35 in Jacksonville.
And, as Boyle notes, D.J. Reed has changed his jersey number from #29 to #9. This change now means that every single-digit numbered jersey is taken by a Seahawks player. Eskridge (1), Witherspoon (2), Wilson (3), Dickson (4), Myers (5), Diggs (6), Smith (7), and Dunlap (8) are Reed’s single-digited counterparts.
