It’s been a long offseason, but with final roster cuts in the book and the 2021 NFL season set to start just a week from today, the end is finally in sight. With that in mind, one of the storylines fans of the Seattle Seahawks have been following all offseason is what the future holds for longtime Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright, who has been a free agent since the new league year started in March.

Wright has long been a fan favorite, and had one of his best seasons with the Hawks in 2020, however, with multiple youngsters at the position group in Jordyn Brooks, Darrell Taylor, Cody Barton and Ben Burr-Kirven, Seattle had held off bringing Wright back. Even in the wake of BBK’s season ending injury in the second preseason game the team did not sign Wright, and now Wright has decided to move on.

With the Las Vegas Raiders Wright will be reunited with Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, under whom he played early in his career in Seattle. It’s a sad day for Seahawks fans, but best of luck to Wright and the Raiders, who got themselves a good one with this signing.
