Sunday the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season in a matchup that will carry potentially significant postseason ramifications for a game this early in the season. The Seahawks enter the game 1-1 having blown a two touchdown fourth quarter lead to the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, while the Minnesota Vikings enter the game still looking for their first win of the season.
When the two teams face off, the Seahawks will have a full 55-man roster for the first time this season after elevating a pair of players from the practice squad.

So, the Hawks are once again bringing Robert Nkemdiche up from the practice squad, just as they did in Week 2 with Bryan Mone out with an elbow injury. This will obviously bring up questions about the role of L.J. Collier, who was a healthy scratch in Week 1, but could also indicate that the Seahawks fear they might be without Benson Mayowa for the game.
In addition, the Hawks elevated wide receiver Cody Thompson from the practice squad. With Dee Eskridge still recovering from a concussion suffered in the season opening win over the Indianapolis Colts and Freddie Swain nursing a back injury, Thompson could see a significant special teams role on Sunday in Swain’s place.
