Tuesday morning it was reported that free agent cornerback Richard Sherman will visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. Tampa Bay hopes to get a deal done with the five-time Pro Bowler and add more firepower to an already star-studded roster.
Five-time Pro Bowl CB Richard Sherman is heading to Tampa for a visit with the #Bucs, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

#Bucs CB Jamel Dean appears to have escaped a serious knee injury Sunday, source said, but his status is in doubt for Sunday against the #Patriots. One more reason they’re pushing to get a deal done with Richard Sherman, who heads to Tampa today for a visit.

Several teams are reportedly interested in Sherman, but it does not appear that the Seattle Seahawks are one of them, making a reunion unlikely, per Mike Dugar of The Athletic.
It’s my understanding there won’t be a Seahawks-Richard Sherman reunion. There are other teams interested in Sherm & it does not appear the seahawks are one of them. Pete Carroll said last week they aren’t having any Sherm discussions and it doesn’t sound like that has changed.

Sherman played just five games in 2020 due to injuries, but did record an interception during his time on the field. It also marked the second time in four seasons that Sherman had finished the year on injured reserve, and after logging every single snap for Seattle from the time he was inserted into the lineup in 2011 until his Achilles injury in 2017, he has failed to stay healthy for a full 16 game season.
The Seahawks meanwhile, continue to have their struggles at cornerback, a position group that had a lot of uncertainty entering the season. If they seek outside help, it appears as though it will need to come from another source.
