Injury Update: Jerrick Reed out with a knee injury

The Seahawks will be without one of the key members of their special teams for the remainder of the game against the Rams.

The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams are locked in a low-scoring divisional matchup at SoFi Stadium, with the Hawks holding to a 16-7 early in the fourth quarter gets underway. However, in spite of the two-score lead for Seattle, not all of the news is good.

Starting quarterback Geno Smith left the game with an elbow injury and is questionable to return, while safety and key special teamer Jerrick Reed has been ruled out after suffering a knee injury.

Through the first ten weeks of the season Reed is tied with DeeJay Dallas for the fourth most special teams snaps played for the Hawks, and his absence could be notable when the Hawks are in coverage.

No specifics of the injury have been provided, but it’s likely that more information will be available after the game is complete. Field Gulls will work to keep readers updated after Pete Carroll speaks to the media after the game.
