We get to watch an NFL Sunday without the Seattle Seahawks’ involvement. It doesn’t mean that the slate is filled with compelling games, but it takes very little to be more compelling than Seahawks football right now.
The main CBS 10am kickoff is the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals, which means offense is at a premium. We really should’ve seen the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars get top billing, but the allure of the Steelers is apparently still there.
In the late doubleheader slot, the western half of the United States (except Arizona, which is getting a local blackout to run the Arizona Cardinals home game on FOX unopposed) will see the Kansas City Chiefs at the Las Vegas Raiders, while everywhere else will watch the Philadelphia Eagles host the Buffalo Bills.
FOX’s main game, on what has to be one of the most stinky slates ever assembled, is the Cleveland Browns and the surging Denver Broncos, whom at this point might be heavily favored to finish with a better record than the Seahawks.
