Seahawks reshuffle practice squad, place preseason standout on injured reserve

The Seahawks signed a former second-round pick to the practice squad.

The Seattle Seahawks have added two and removed two from the practice squad ahead of Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Let’s start with the signings! Former Dallas cornerback Kelvin Joseph has joined the fold, while wide receiver Cody White is back in the rotation yet again, having last been on the PS roster in October. Joseph was chosen in the second round by the Cowboys in 2021, but fell out of favor and eventually benched. Dallas traded Joseph to the Miami Dolphins, who released him in mid-November.

Maybe Joseph is here not just for Riq Woolen insurance (given his shoulder issues), but for that sweet, sweet hypothetical intel on the upcoming opposition.

As for the two players who are off the practice squad, one of them is a preseason standout and the other is a reserve offensive lineman. Guard Ben Brown has been let go, which isn’t too shocking given Seattle’s pretty set on depth at that position right now. Unfortunately, outside linebacker Levi Bell was placed on injured reserve with an unspecified injury. Bell was such a surprise performer in August that there was some talk about him making the active roster, but that never materialized. No word on whether or not Bell’s injury is season-ending.

Here’s the latest Seahawks practice squad group:
