The Seattle Seahawks had a terrible game on Thanksgiving as they were thoroughly outmatched in every phase of the game in a 31-13 rout by the San Francisco 49ers. Things don’t get any easier as Seattle now heads to Arlington for another Thursday night showdown on national television against the Dallas Cowboys.
In what could very well be a lopsided game, DraftKings Sportsbook has the Seahawks as a (+7) underdog.
Seattle will be wearing their throwback jerseys for the second time this season, but decided to celebrate a week early by reverting back to the disappointing early 90’s Seahawks teams against the 49ers. They were bad on offense, defense, and special teams. Facing the rejuvenated San Francisco squad was bad enough and yet Seattle made it worse by constantly tripping over themselves (sometimes literally) and failing to get out of their own way.
Dallas is coming off a 45-10 blowout of the Washington Commanders in which they exploded for 25 points in the final quarter. The Cowboys defense is led by former Seahawks defensive coordinator - and likely future second-run NFL head coach - Dan Quinn. His defensive unit will give the Seahawks everything they can handle and more so gird your loins for another terrible offensive performance. At least Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland already set the NFL record for pick sixes in a season with five against Washington so Seattle won’t have the dubious honor…unless they help him extend that mark.
The over/under is 46 and with the way Seattle’s offense has fared lately, the Cowboys might need to get the vast majority of those points to hit the over. Considering how Seattle’s defense has also struggled, Dallas may do just that.
Until the Seahawks prove that they can put together some semblance of a complete game, it’s hard to imagine they’ll be competitive in any of the upcoming matchups. Have some aspirin and whatever else you need to numb the pain within arm’s reach.
