The Seattle Seahawks (6-5) are desperate for a win but find themselves in the midst of an extraordinarily difficult schedule. Having lost back-to-back games to the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, Seattle heads out to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys (8-3), who’ve not lost a home game since Week 1 of last season. Dak Prescott is playing like an MVP candidate, and Dan Quinn’s defense is among the best in the NFL.
Geno Smith has been banged up and not playing well, the offensive line has looked overwhelmed, and the entire offense has looked out of sorts. The Seahawks defense has been inconsistent virtually all season and really struggled against better offenses. This looks like a nearly impossible task to go on the road and stop a Dallas team that has won every home game by at least 20 points.
What’s at stake?
Seattle stays in a playoff spot with a win, but possibly loses a spot with a loss and results from elsewhere. Dallas can (at least temporarily) inch closer to the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles, who play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
