The Seattle Seahawks had a vacancy on the practice squad after the New York Jets signed quarterback Brett Rypien to the active roster. Vacancy filled!

On Wednesday, the Seahawks announced the return of undrafted free agent rookie running back SaRodorick Thompson, who was one of the top performers in preseason.

The former Texas Texas star did not make the initial 53-man roster, but his abilities as a runner and as a receiving back earned him a spot on the initial practice squad. Thompson had one elevation to the active roster earlier in the season but did not get an offensive snap. In all of the natural reshuffling, Thompson has been in-and-out of the practice squad roster. Given the injuries to both Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet, you never know if he may be called upon soon.
