NFL Week 14 TV coverage maps: Seahawks vs. 49ers is FOX’s top game

Former Seahawks tight end Greg Olsen will call Seahawks-49ers on FOX.

The Seattle Seahawks’ slide has unfortunately coincided with a run of games in which they’ve gotten significant national attention. Back-to-back prime-time losses to close out November, now they’re the lead FOX game for their Week 14 rematch versus the San Francisco 49ers.

This is a single-header week for FOX, which typically means a 10 AM game gets top billing. On this occasion, however, FOX is sending Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen to cover Seahawks-49ers at 1:05 PM. I suppose they could’ve gone to the Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens, but a quick observation of the schedule indicates an uninspiring lineup of games. Last time Burkhardt and Olsen did a Seahawks game was the overtime win over the Detroit Lions. Good luck charm, perhaps?

If you’re in the red area on the 506 Sports broadcast map, you’re getting Seahawks-49ers. In other words, most of the country is getting this one.

Most amusingly, the success of Cincinnati Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning has provided us with an NFL version of the Apple Cup. The top 10 AM kick is the Jaguars and Browns, but Seattle is getting the Colts at Bengals, led by Washington State’s Gardner Minshew and Washington’s Browning.

Unsurprisingly, the late CBS doubleheader feature is the Buffalo Bills at the Kansas City Chiefs. Not too many parts of America will be seeing the Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers, which is a must-win for both teams to keep their playoff hopes alive.
