Flush from the hype of the draft and post-draft pat-on-the-backs, most fans and media predict all the new guys to walk in and start. However, time and time again they do not and spend their first season learning the plays and the techniques, and building up their strength to NFL levels - excepting the first round pick, normally. This roster is different though, without stars and savvy veterans, and so I won't be surprised if the number of new starters is shocking. Slot receiver, Center, Right Guard, CB, Nose Tackle, 2 DE's, and the 2 ILB's all may have changes, or 9 new starters out of 22 for 2023, and that is indeed shocking.
