Seahawks fill out practice squad after raiding it Saturday

Seattle promoted a trio of players from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of facing the Steelers, so Monday they filled those open practice squad spots.

Sunday the Seattle Seahawks were pushed all over the field by the Pittsburgh Steelers, to the tune of 468 yards allowed, including more than 200 yards surrendered on the ground. Both Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren finished the day with one of the most prolific games of their young careers, and on Monday the Hawks added three defensive names to the practice squad.

The three players added to the practice squad are nose tackle Matt Gotel, defensive end Hamilcar Rashed and linebacker Christian Young. No corresponding moves were necessary to facilitate these transactions, as they moved into the open roster spots that had been created by the promotion of Jake Curhan, Ty Okada and Patrick O’Connell to the active roster on Saturday. Curhan, Okada and O’Connell, of course, filled the roster spots on the 53-man roster that were opened up by the release of Frank Clark, along with the moves of Dee Eskridge and Jamal Adams to injured reserve.

And now it’s on to Week 18 and the Arizona Cardinals.
