Timing is everything, isn’t it?
This is a special, emergency Pete Carroll edition of Seahawks Reacts.
When we published the survey on Wednesday morning, Pete Carroll’s removal from his head coaching position had not been announced. A couple of hours later, the news dropped. We’re inevitably going to get a split of results from that poll between people who’d already known Carroll was gone and others who couldn’t have known.
In light of recent developments, we’re starting that confidence question all over again. The other questions pertaining to the playoffs, Seattle’s 9-8 record, and who wins the Super Bowl will not be repeated.
Our second question is whether or not you agree with the decision to move on from Pete as head coach. We don’t know what his advisory role will entail, so to what extent he’s still involved with the organization remains to be seen. What we do know is that it’s John Schneider’s team to run, and his first job is to find Pete’s replacement. We can’t pretend that we haven’t been discussing moving on from Pete for at least six seasons, if not more, but perhaps some minds have changed over time one way or another. Let’s see how the fans feel now that Carroll is actually not going to be coaching in 2024.
Vote below! We’ll have the results for you this weekend.
