There are a lot of unknowns regarding the upcoming offseason for the Seahawks, and the best place to start is with what is known.

The offseason for the Seattle Seahawks has arrived, and it did not just knock gently on the front door. Rather, the team opted to kick the door to the offseason right off its hinges on Wednesday with the decision to move on from the most successful head coach in franchise history, kicking off what will be the most uncharted offseason for the Hawks in more than a decade.

To discuss the upcoming offseason, with a focus on the salary cap situation of the Hawks this offseason, I recently joined former Field Gulls podcast host Dan Viens on the Seahawks Forever Podcast to discuss the heart of what drives many offseason discussions, and that is the salary cap.

As should surprise no one, during the appearance we covered several topics including the levers the Seahawks can pull to free up cap space, when certain moves can be expected and what the change at coach could mean for the cap and the roster, along with the uncertainty of trying to predict what’s coming when there are so many more unknowns than in a typical offseason.
