Legendary linebacker Bobby Wagner has made his ninth Pro Bowl, while rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon and safety Julian Love are first-time selections. Witherspoon will definitely be a finalist for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
The Seahawks also had eight Pro Bowl alternates, of which there will undoubtedly be many eventually competing in the competition: Nick Bellore, Jordyn Brooks, Michael Dickson, Quandre Diggs, Boye Mafe, DK Metcalf, Geno Smith, and Kenneth Walker III.
Pro Bowl selections are made through fan votes, players, and coaches, divided equally into thirds. The top Seahawks in Pro Bowl voting were Wagner, Bellore, and Dickson.
If you’re not kept up with the Pro Bowl, the actual game no longer exists. Instead, there’s a skills competition with all sorts of fun stuff across all positions, followed by the AFC vs. NFC flag football game on the Sunday before the Super Bowl. Orlando will serve as the host once again.
The skills competition airs on Thursday, February 1 at 4 p.m. PT on ESPN, while the AFC vs. NFC flag football game on Sunday, February 4 at noon ESPN and ABC.
