Seahawks currently have just 7 picks in 2024 NFL Draft

That’s down from the 10 picks they had at the start of the 2023 Draft.

The Seattle Seahawks will take no further part in the 2023 NFL season, having been eliminated from postseason contention in Week 18 after the Green Bay Packers’ win over the Chicago Bears. Many fans are understandably now looking toward the NFL Draft, which takes place in Detroit from April 25-27.

We already know that the Seahawks will have the No. 16 overall pick in Round 1, and they’ll also get an extra third-round pick after their Day 2 trade with the Denver Broncos last year. In terms of overall draft capital? Well, it ain’t much. Seattle lost a second-round pick after acquiring Leonard Williams, so that leaves the Seahawks with only seven total selections.

Seahawks Draft Picks 2024

Round 1 - No. 16 overall

Round 2 - N/A (Leonard Williams trade)

Round 3 - No. 78 overall

Round 3 (from Denver Broncos via New Orleans Saints) - No. 81 overall

Round 4 - 1 pick, order TBD

Round 5 - 1 pick, order TBD

Round 6 - 1 pick, order TBD

Round 7 - 1 pick, order TBD

Last year, Seattle had 10 picks to play with, and even after the trade with Denver it still made 10 selections. If we pretend the Seahawks are stuck with seven picks by the end of the draft, it’d be their fewest since the measly three picks in 2021. The previous time they had fewer than eight draft choices was 2008, when they also had seven picks and used the first-rounder on Lawrence Jackson.

In case you’re wondering, the Seahawks aren’t expected to have any compensatory picks. Again.
