John Schneider's hand-written message to Horace Miller

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Seahawks' GM John Schneider famously wrote a hand-written letter to UDFA Doug Baldwin to convince him to come to Seattle to compete as a receiver, and that worked out pretty well. It's also cool to see that he takes the time to encourage players that he's already signed, even the ones at the very back-end of the roster.

Linebacker Horace Miller, signed recently as a street free agent, Instagrammed a photo of a note he received from the Seahawks' GM. Here's what it said:

Horace,

I just wanted to let you know that since you arrived, you have been impressive and that we recognize all of your hard work so far!

Just know that, while you know you have a ways to go, that we feel that you have a very cool upside! Be confident in your skills as you get ready to prepare for training camp. Know that you really have to bring it on Special Teams!

All the best,

John Schneider
