Wednesday notes: Tate fined, Harvin not practicing yet, and more | Seahawks Blog | Seattle Times
— Coach Pete Carroll said WR Percy Harvin won’t practice today and said again that he is “day-to-day” with no specific date set for a return. He said he will work with the other players who are rehabbing today and then they will take it from there. He said it was “best to keep him in that mode” of rehabbing “for a little bit longer.” My read? Don’t expect Harvin to play this week.
> Carroll said, “I love the way Darrell (Bevell) calls a game.” He went on to say he’s always in on the offensive plan, listens to everything on the headsets and has direct involvement in calling three or four offensive plays per game. Carroll said, “I try never to influence him in the middle of a sequence.”

NFL offensive tackles aren't important as we once thought | The MMQB with Peter King
Five offensive tackles were taken in the first 20 picks of this year’s NFL draft. So far, none are living up to expectations. Eric Fisher, taken first overall, has been a mistake magnate in Kansas City. He’s shown flawed technique too many times, both in run blocking and pass protection.
