Keys to the Seahawks game | Seahawks | The Seattle Times
Can Seahawks set flight early? Seattle has yet to score a touchdown in the first half this season, and has outscored opponents just 8-7 in the first half compared to 33-12 in the second. There’s nothing wrong with finishing strong. But facing an outmanned team like Jacksonville seems like a good time to get off to a fast start and put the Jaguars away early, and maybe get some of the backups some work. It might also be a good psychological boost for the offense, which dating to last season has scored just one first-half touchdown in the past five games (including playoffs).

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson wasted little time taking charge of team |
RENTON, WASH. — Before joining Seattle this season, defensive end Cliff Avril was familiar with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.Avril, a former standout at Clay High, had played against Wilson during the 2012 season. The Seahawks lost at Detroit 28-24. Wilson played well in the losing effort, completing 25 of 35 passes for 236 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.Avril exited the game thinking the rookie Wilson was pretty good. Jim Harbaugh: 2005 DUI ‘made me a better counselor,’ and Aldon Smith provides a serious test case | Audibles -
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has faced more heat than he would like about the way he’s handled linebacker/end Aldon Smith’s most recent DUI offense. Smith was arrested on Friday morning for driving under the influence and marijuana possession, but Harbaugh intimated later that day that Smith would play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. It was Smith’s second DUI in less than two years, and while the NFL might want to speak to him about a suspension, Harbaugh said at his Friday press conference that Smith “needs to go to work, face his teammates and soldier through it.”
