A History of the NFL in 95 Objects: Seattle Seahawks 12th Man Flag | The MMQB with Peter King
It has been unfurled below the Statue of Liberty and raised above the Space Needle. President Obama posed for photos while holding it up. In the months surrounding Seattle’s Super Bowl XLVIII win, the “12th Man Flag” has experienced a tour-de-force of sightseeing. But for fans of the Seahawks, the electric-blue nylon piece of fabric with a white No. 12 printed in the center is as familiar as any player on the Seattle roster.
Michael Robinson: Seahawks have to “keep close watch” on egos | ProFootballTalk
“My question for the Seahawks this year is … there’s a lot of young guys in that locker room with new money,” Robinson said on the Dave Dameshek Football Program. “When issues come up in the locker room, who is the veteran that settles it? . … Things come up, ‘Hey guys — stop doing that! Hey, you go over there, you go over there, and it’s over. No more.’ And guys would stop. Right now, guys have gotten paid, you know what I mean? Guys have got egos, you know what I mean? That’s just only natural with money, and they have to watch against that in the locker room, and that’s something that Pete [Carroll] can’t see — their offices are upstairs. They just have to keep a close watch on it.”

Finding the Fits: Speedy Seahawks even faster with Paul Richardson - CBSSports.com
I believe Bailey will prove an example of a good player slipping through the cracks due to the paralysis-by-analysis that sometimes occurs when teams focus too much on measureables. Bailey, a three-year starter who left USC with 222 career tackles and 11 interceptions, may lack elite size or straight-line speed but he has very good instincts and changes directions fluidly.
NFL training camp: Five veterans to watch for holdouts - NFL - Sporting News
There haven't been many notable holdouts from NFL training camp in recent years. Cornerback Darrelle Revis (2010 with the Jets) and running back Chris Johnson (2011 with the Titans) would be at the top of the list. Since the new rookie wage scale was put in place three years ago, unsigned first-round draft picks aren't much of a concern, either.
