The details of Bobby Wagner's four-year, $43 million contract extension are filtering out. Here's what we know.
According to Joel Corry, Wagner's deal includes an $8 million signing bonus, and he's due an option in 2016 worth $4 million. As Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap writes, "The cap charges being shown (below) assume the option will be exercised. If the option is not exercised the cost to release Wagner in 2016 is $6.4 million. Wagner has $500,000 in roster bonuses in 2016 and $1 million in roster bonuses from 2017 through 2019."
